day 7 warrington to ingleton.86 miles

When we were planning this adventure we thought today would be the worst, but past days considering it was actually ok. Marys patient instructions reading and my back up map reading ensured we did not get lost in the urban bit and we even found an 'award winning' cafe that had such an array of cakes we nearly exploded! The scenery has been amazing especially when we rached the yorkshire dales. Last 8 miles were very hard. Weather has been good to us today and it was nice to arrive somewhere not dripping wet. Oh and we are now over halfway there at 503 miles ..

  1. Yesterday you said you were going to be in Lancs! Wow, this is just so amazing, it takes 5 hours by train to get from Brighton to Lancashire and you have cycled there! My little mind is just *blown* by such an amazing achievement. Good to hear that the weather has been kind to you at last, it has been wet, wet, wet here today and still no sign of Marti. Hope you have a good one for Tuesday, over half way YEAH!!!! NH xx

  2. You cant beat the Yorks Dales! I am truly mesmerised by what you are doing, and that at last you found some 'cakes'! We are ok here, nice chatting to Shirley & Tony last night. I think I am going to try Lewes today. Love Mum

  3. Can't believe you are half way already. Hope that the weather treats you kindly from now on. We were driving back from Oxford on Sunday and it was rotten enough in a car let alone on a bike. Must have been a good cake shop to overwhelm you two.
Good luck with the rest of the trip.
    Tony & Shirley.
